Scotiabank Message

Welcome to the 2017 Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival

This year, we are marking a number of significant Canadian milestones, including the 150th anniversary of Confederation and Scotiabank’s 185th anniversary.

Throughout our history, Scotiabank employees have worked to make a positive difference in the communities in which we live and work. One of the ways we have chosen to do that is through the arts, because we believe the arts enrich our lives and our communities in meaningful ways.

We’re pleased to once again sponsor the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival. The Festival provides exposure for more than 1,500 talented artists, and helps to advance creativity and innovation in photography. This year, Scotiabank is delighted to showcase the work of Suzy Lake, winner of the 2016 Scotiabank Photography Award, through an exhibition at the Ryerson Image Centre. The Award is the largest and most prestigious of its kind here in Canada.

We hope you enjoy viewing the works of some of the world’s most gifted photographers.
